he Northwest Indiana Workforce Board (NWIWB) Youth Employment Council is joining a national initiative calling on businesses to hire a youth in need of employment during the summer 2012.

Summer Jobs NWI Seeks Workforce Growth

In our Northwest Indiana region, the program is called Summer Jobs NWI and the overarching goal is to help create pathways to employment and self-suffi- ciency for our young people. In accomplishing this goal, the business community, the work-force board, other organizations, and, of course, the youth col- lectively can contribute to building a stronger, smarter, work-ready workforce and community.
